SQORE

Em Sgouros is a New York based producer, percussionist, and sound artist. As SQORE, they write and perform with the intent to create immersive soundscapes and slowly evolving worlds. By melding field recordings with synthesized sounds, the listener lands somewhere between reality and fantasy.

With a foundation in classical percussion and jazz vibraphone (BA, The New School), they’ve written, performed, and recorded in a wide variety of projects which have brought them to venues and festivals within NYC and across the country, including SXSW, Winter JazzFest, Bushwig at Knockdown Center and Riot Fest. They’ve produced and composed for theater, numerous pop albums/EPs, short films, and ambient visuals.

When not creating music, they enjoy visual art, hiking, and making gnocchi from scratch. :)
